The SPMA Executive consists of Police Officers and Police staff:
Chairman: Asma Ali
Asma Ali is the Chair of the Scottish Police Muslim Association (SPMA), having been elected in December 2016. Asma is a Solicitor within Police Scotland and began her employment with Strathclyde Police in July 2007. She currently works in Legal Services based in Dalmarnock.
Asma is one of the founding members of SPMA. Prior to being elected as the Chair, Asma was the Branch Co-ordinator for the Islamic Society of Britain (Glasgow). She has been involved with Community engagement work for the last 20 years and over the last 3 years has successfully lead Islam Awareness Week Scotland. Asma is also part of Mosaic Scotland (associated with the Princes Trust).

Treasurer: Amer Mohammed
PC Amer Mohammed, is 34 years old having been born in Glasgow. Amer is a serving Officer with Police Scotland after having joined the Force in 2010. He has worked in several of the busiest areas in Scotland, including Govanhill, Drumchapel, Castlemilk and Gorbals. Amer has always been an operational Officer in both the community and response Policing teams.
Amer is an undergraduate in Business Administration and has a postgraduate degree in Information Management. After leaving University he worked in the family business for a number of years before moving on to Operations Manager roles within various Organisations. Amer has been involved with the SPMA from the very start of his Police Career, volunteering and assisting in several events throughout the past 5 years.
Due to his dedication and determination, Amer was co-opted to the SPMA Executive in the beginning of 2015. This role was to ensure that SPMA Delivers for our members, Police Scotland and the communities that we serve.
